Making Listening Easy...

Did you know, your BMW can now interface with your Apple iPod, iPod Mini, and iPod nano. The iPod interface allows an Apple iPod and iPod mini to be connected to the car's audio system. This allows the iPod to be controlled using the radio and the multi-functional steering wheel. The tracks stored on the iPod are played back over the audio system whilst at the same time the iPod is charged by the electrical system.

The iPod interface supports the following functions:

  • Next/Previous track
  • Skip tracks in steps of 10 (not in RND and RPT mode)
  • Fast forward/reverse (in RND and RPT mode only)
  • Ramdom Play RND
  • Repeat RPT, not possible on all radios
  • Scan SC
  • Playback 5 special playlists
  • Playback all tracks
